Ask the Robot was a series of semi-annual performance and installation experiments carried out the Frying Pan, a rusty lightship docked on the Chelseea Pier in New York. Concived by artist and choreographer Ophra Wolf, it tapped into a variety of diperate artistic communities to create an open platform for experimentation. Participants ranged from dance ensembles to digital artists to folk singers to performance artists.
